  1. Caledonia Waterfall Trail🟢 Easy-moderate · ⏱ 1:15 · 3.2km return · Circular-ish\n\nOne of the most popular short hikes in Cyprus, through cool cedar and pine forest to the island's highest waterfall (12m). The path follows the Kryos Potamos river, shaded, beautiful and magical for children. Start from Psilodentro restaurant car park.\n\nDifficulty: Overall easy with a few short steeper sections near the waterfall. Well-marked path, no scrambling. Suitable from age 4+.\n\nBest season: Year-round. Delightful in spring when water flow is highest. Avoid July-August midday heat.
  2. Persephone Trail🟢 Easy · ⏱ 1:00 · 3km circular\n\nA short, well-maintained circular trail through pine and golden oak forest on the southern slopes of Troodos with lovely views towards Limassol and the coast. The path is wide and clear with gentle gradients, one of the most family-friendly trails on the island.\n\nDifficulty: Easy throughout. Wide, clear path with minimal elevation change. Suitable from age 3+.\n\nBest season: April-June and September-November. Start point: Troodos Square car park.
  3. Artemis Trail🟡 Moderate · ⏱ 2:30 · 9km circular\n\nA full circular loop around the Chionistra peak (Mount Olympos), the highest trail on the island at around 1,800-1,950m elevation. Stunning views, rich birdlife and endemic plants throughout. The altitude keeps it cool even in summer.\n\nDifficulty: Easy terrain underfoot but the full loop is long. Moderate due to distance, best for families with older children (8+) who are comfortable walking for 2.5 hours. No steep sections.\n\nBest season: May-October. Trail starts at the Artemis car park near the Troodos Summit.
  4. Myllomeris Waterfall Trail🟢 Easy · ⏱ 0:45 · 2.4km return\n\nA short, gentle trail through pine forest leading to the beautiful Myllomeris waterfall, one of the most accessible waterfalls in Cyprus. The path is wide and well-shaded. Excellent picnic area at the waterfall.\n\nDifficulty: Very easy. Flat to gently sloping path, no obstacles. One of the easiest trails in the Troodos area. Suitable from age 2+.\n\nBest season: March-June for best water flow. Start point: Pano Platres village car park.
  5. Livadi Trail (wheelchair accessible)🟢 Very Easy · ⏱ 0:30 · 1.5km circular\n\nThe most accessible trail in Cyprus, fully paved and wheelchair accessible. A gentle loop through the Troodos forest with information boards and beautiful surroundings. Perfect for toddlers in buggies, young children and families with any mobility needs.\n\nDifficulty: No difficulty. Fully paved, flat surface. Suitable for all ages and abilities.\n\nBest season: Year-round. Start point: Troodos Visitor Centre.
  6. Prodromos Dam - Stavroulia Trail🟡 Moderate · ⏱ 1:45 · 5.8km circular\n\nA circular trail around the Prodromos Dam through dense pine forest, with lovely dam views and the chance to spot mouflon (the endemic wild sheep of Cyprus). The terrain is varied and interesting for children.\n\nDifficulty: Moderate. Some short uphill sections and uneven ground in places. Good walking shoes essential. Suitable for ages 6+.\n\nBest season: March-May and October-November. Start point: Prodromos Dam car park.
  7. Chrysovrysi Trail🟢 Easy · ⏱ 1:00 · 2.5km linear\n\nA gentle trail through the Machairas Forest connecting two forest roads, passing the Chrysovrysi spring, a beautiful water source in a shaded glade. Very peaceful and well-marked. Good birdwatching trail.\n\nDifficulty: Easy. Gradual gradient throughout, good path surface. Suitable for ages 4+.\n\nBest season: Spring and autumn are most beautiful. Start point: Machairas Monastery area.
  8. Smigies Trail (Akamas)🟡 Moderate · ⏱ 1:30 · 5km circular\n\nOne of the best trails on the Akamas Peninsula, a circular loop through juniper and pine woodland with dramatic coastal views and rich birdlife. Look out for Bonelli's eagles and the endemic Akamas centaury wildflower.\n\nDifficulty: Moderate. Some uneven ground and mild elevation change. A few short steeper sections. Suitable for ages 6+. Sun exposure on parts of the trail, bring hats and water.\n\nBest season: October-April. Avoid summer midday. Start point: Smigies picnic area near Neo Chorio.
  9. Avakas Gorge Short Course🟡 Moderate · ⏱ 1:15 · 3km return\n\nWalk into the dramatic Avakas Gorge, towering limestone walls up to 30m high, a seasonal stream to follow and dense vegetation. The short course turns around before the gorge becomes technical. One of Cyprus's most spectacular family walks.\n\nDifficulty: Moderate. Rocky riverbed underfoot, closed-toe shoes essential. Some boulder hopping and water crossing. Best for ages 6+. Not suitable after heavy rain.\n\nBest season: October-May. Start point: Avakas Gorge car park near Agios Georgios Pegeias.
  10. Pissouromoutti Trail (Akamas)🟢 Easy · ⏱ 1:00 · 3.5km circular\n\nA gentle circular loop through the western edge of the Akamas forest with sea glimpses and lovely endemic plant life. Less visited than the Smigies trail, quieter and more peaceful. Good introductory trail to the Akamas ecosystem.\n\nDifficulty: Easy. Well-maintained path with mild gradients. Suitable for ages 4+.\n\nBest season: October-April. Start point: Pissouromoutti picnic area, Akamas.
  11. Cape Greco Coastal Trail🟢 Easy · ⏱ 0:45 · 2.8km return\n\nA spectacular short coastal walk on the cliffs of Cape Greco National Forest Park, electric-blue sea, dramatic rock arches, sea caves visible from above and the Peace Monument viewpoint. Flat clifftop path, easy underfoot.\n\nDifficulty: Easy. Flat to very gently undulating path. Keep children away from cliff edges. Suitable for ages 5+.\n\nBest season: Year-round. Gorgeous at sunset. Start point: Cape Greco car park (Kavo Gkreko).
  12. Konnoi - Cyclops Cave Trail🟢 Easy · ⏱ 1:00 · 3.2km return\n\nA lovely coastal trail from Konnoi beach to the famous Cyclops sea cave, a huge sea arch accessible by a short path from above. The trail passes through low scrub with amazing views across the blue water to the Famagusta coastline.\n\nDifficulty: Easy. Flat clifftop path with one short descent to a viewpoint. Suitable for ages 4+. Supervise children near cliff edges.\n\nBest season: Year-round. Start point: Konnoi beach car park near Ayia Napa.
  13. Larnaca Cultural Walk🟢 Easy · ⏱ 0:45 · 2.7km circular\n\nA gentle circular walk around the Hala Sultan Tekke mosque and the Larnaca Salt Lake, one of the most beautiful wetlands in Cyprus. From November to March the lake fills with flamingos. The path is flat, paved and completely family-friendly.\n\nDifficulty: Very easy. Flat paved path throughout. Suitable for all ages including buggies.\n\nBest season: November-March for flamingos. April-October for dry salt lake. Start point: Hala Sultan Tekke car park.
  14. Oroklini Park & Viewpoint Trail🟡 Moderate · ⏱ 2:00 · 6.6km circular\n\nA circular trail through the Oroklini park area east of Larnaca with lovely sea and mountain views, wildflowers in spring and a peaceful atmosphere. Less well-known than the mountain trails, a good choice for families staying on the east coast.\n\nDifficulty: Moderate. Undulating terrain, exposed path, bring hats and water. Suitable for ages 7+.\n\nBest season: October-April. Start point: Oroklini village.

Paphos Archaeological Park Walk🟢 Very Easy · ⏱ 1:00 · 3.5km circular\n\nA flat circular walk through the UNESCO-listed Paphos Archaeological Park, Roman floor mosaics, medieval Saranta Kolones Castle ruins, the harbour lighthouse and sea views. Raised boardwalks throughout. Combines culture and gentle walking perfectly.\n\nDifficulty: Very easy. Flat tarmac and boardwalk paths. Suitable for all ages including buggies.\n\nBest season: Year-round. Avoid midday July-August. Start point: Paphos Archaeological Park entrance.

Genesis Aphrodite Trail (Pissouri)🟡 Moderate · ⏱ 1:45 · 5.5km circular\n\nA beautiful circular trail from Pissouri village along coastal cliffs, through low Mediterranean scrub with stunning views of the white chalk cliffs meeting the deep blue sea. One of AllTrails' top-rated Cyprus family hikes.\n\nDifficulty: Moderate. Mostly easy path with a few short uphill sections. Some sun exposure, bring hats and water. Suitable for ages 6+.\n\nBest season: October-April. Stunning in spring wildflower season. Start point: Pissouri village car park.
  17. Agiasma Nature Trail (Kathikas)🟢 Easy · ⏱ 0:45 · 2km circular\n\nA lovely short circular trail 1km from Kathikas village on the road towards Pegeia, through impressive rock formations, vineyards and ancient geology with panoramic views over the Paphos coastline and Coral Bay. A stone-built fountain with drinkable water sits 800m along the trail.\n\nCan combine with a visit to the Kathikas donkey farm at the trailhead, children love meeting the donkeys before or after the walk.\n\nDifficulty: Easy, gentle gradient throughout. Category 1 official rating. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels from age 3+.\n\nBest season: October-May. Start point: 1km from Kathikas village towards Pegeia, near Kyparissos restaurant.
  18. Kakkarista Gorge Trail (Latsia)🟢 Easy · ⏱ 0:20-0:30 · ~1km circular\n\nA very short and easy circular trail through a small but fascinating gorge just outside Latsia, the walls are packed with marine fossils embedded in the rock, making this a genuinely educational walk for children. The gorge is narrow and atmospheric despite its small scale.\n\nOne of the most accessible geological walks on the island, virtually flat, well-shaded and suitable for very young children. Keep an eye out for fossilised shells and sea creatures in the limestone walls.\n\nDifficulty: Very easy. Flat, short path. Suitable from age 2+ with supervision. No steep sections.\n\nBest season: Year-round. Start point: 39V9+HFM, Latsia (Lakatamia area, Nicosia).
  19. Delikipo Nature Trail🟢 Easy · ⏱ 0:45-1:00 · Short circular\n\nA charming short circular trail near Delikipos village leading to a small seasonal dam (full in winter and spring, dry in late summer/autumn). Along the route: a friendly goat farm to visit, a picnic site with benches and lovely countryside views.\n\nA genuinely lovely family loop, the goat farm is a highlight for young children. Water in the dam adds extra magic in winter and spring.\n\nDifficulty: Easy. Good path throughout. No prams, bring a carrier for toddlers. Suitable for ages 3+.\n\nBest season: November-May for water in the dam. Year-round for the trail itself. Start point: W986+G29, Delikipos village.
  20. Anerades Nature Trail (Miliou)🟢 Easy · ⏱ 0:45-1:30 · 1.3-2.1km (3 route options)\n\nThree colour-coded routes sharing a spectacular "jungle" section along the year-round Kolokouri river, shaded, lush and packed with orange trees, tangerines, walnuts, blackberries, grapes, lizards and rich birdlife. Children absolutely love the river section.\n\nYellow route (shortest, ~1.3km, ~45min) is the most family-friendly. Blue (~2km) and Red (~2.1km, returns through Miliou village) add more variety. The river section is the unmissable highlight, the rest of the trail on concrete roads is less scenic.\n\nDifficulty: Easy to moderate. The jungle river section is flat and easy. Other sections have some ascents and descents. Ages 4+.\n\nBest season: Year-round, the river flows all year. Start point: WFP7+XCF, near Miliou village and the Ayii Anargyri Natural Healing Spa.
  21. Prastio Waterfall Walk🟢 Easy · ⏱ 0:30 · Short there-and-back\n\nA small waterfall with a short, easy walk nearby and a lovely view over the gorge below. Suitable for all ages.\n\nDifficulty: Easy and short, fine for young children.\n\nBest season: Winter and spring, when water is flowing. The fall dries up in summer. A snack van is sometimes parked at the start.
