Diocletian's Palace CellarsThe vast Roman cellars beneath the palace were the dragon pits where Daenerys keeps her dragons in Season 4. The ancient alleyways also appear throughout the series. There's a Game of Thrones museum inside with replica props. A must-visit regardless of GoT.
Klis FortressPerched on a ridge 12km from Split, this dramatic fortress was Meereen in Seasons 4 and 5 — where Daenerys frees the slaves and crucifies the masters. A dedicated GoT room inside shows stills from the show. Views over the Dalmatian coast are spectacular.
Žrnovnica VillageThis small village and its quarry just outside Split were used in Season 4 for the battle scene in which Daenerys and the Unsullied descend on Meereen.
